The Pacific Field Corn Association is pleased to help share this announcement from the BC Farm Writers’ Association (BCFWA) and encourage members of the agricultural community to take note of this upcoming event.
The BC Farm Writers’ Association will hold its Annual General Meeting following the Pacific Agriculture Show on Friday, January 23, 2026. Members planning to attend are asked to RSVP by Monday, January 19, 2026. This year’s AGM will take place at the Trading Post Eatery, located at 3058 Gladwin Road in Abbotsford.
The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with dinner, followed by a presentation from BCFWA board member Julia Smith, who will share highlights from her experience attending the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists Congress in Kenya. The presentation will be followed by the AGM, where members will review accomplishments from 2025, discuss plans for 2026, and receive an update on preparations for the 2027 Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation Conference.
Dinner is provided at no cost for members who have paid their 2026 membership dues, including those who renew or join at the AGM. Attendees are encouraged to invite potential new members to attend and learn more about the association. Non members will be asked to cover the cost of their meal.
Association business is expected to conclude by approximately 8:30 pm, leaving time for informal conversation and networking.
